About Us.

Why people love working with us.

About our organisation

Community Awareness of Drugs was established in 1983 in response to the unprecendented drug-related issues that arose in communities in Leinster at the time. A national federation was established linking many groups throughout the country. In the 1990s CAD qualified as a registered charity to provide drug education opportunities for parents and community workers. In 1992, CAD launched its successful Family Focus programme which is a six session programme that promotes the role of the parent in reducing the demand for drugs.

Our Status
