Family Focus', '

The Family Focus programme is a six session drug education programme for parents, grandparents, guardians and other adults.

It is delivered over six weeks in 2-hour sessions. The programme provides participants with an opportunity to

• Update information on drugs and their effects
  
• Explore attitudes and decision making around substance misuse
  
• Develop a family based drugs prevention strategy
  

The programme is delivered using principles of adult education to build on the existing knowledge base of participants.  

Family Focus complements the aims of the Interim National Drugs Strategy
